DESCRIPTION:Seattle Arts & Lecture presents the James Welch Prize reading with Sherwin Bitsui and Kenzie Allen at 7:30 pm PST. \nFrom the organizers: \n“The inaugural James Welch Prize reading\, celebrating two Indigenous poets from the U.S.\, will be presented in partnership with Hugo House and Poetry Northwest\, and featuring judge Sherwin Bitsui and winner Kenzie Allen. Sherwin Bitsui is a Diné from the Navajo Reservation in White Cone\, Arizona. He is the author of “Dissolve” (2018)\, “Flood Song” (2009)\, and “Shapeshift” (2003).
