Frank Stewart

Frank Stewart settled in Hawaii in 1966. His most recent book of poetry is By All Means (2003). Others include Reunion, Flying the Red Eye, and The Open Water, for which he received a Whiting Writers Award in 1986. In 1995 he published a book of prose, A Natural History of Nature Writing. He has edited over two dozen anthologies concerned with contemporary translations of literature from China, Tibet, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Vietnam, and elsewhere in Asia and the Pacific. Since 1989 he has been the editor ofManoa: A Pacific Journal of International Writing. He lives in Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, and near Kalopa, on the island of Hawaii.
