Rebecca Seiferle

Rebecca Seiferle was awarded a Lannan Literary Fellowship in 2004. She has translated two book length collections from the Spanish of Cesar Vallejo, most recently The Black Heralds (Copper Canyon, 2003). Her translations have been included in several anthologies. Her own work has been included in over twenty-five different anthologies and has been translated into Italian, Spanish, Lithuanian and Latvian. She has been poet-in-residence at Brandeis University, faculty of the Stonecoast MFA Program, and has taught at such noted writer's conferences as the Port Townsend Writers Conference, Gemini Ink, Key West Literary Seminars, and the Fine Arts Centre in Provincetown.  Seiferle is the Founding Editor/ Publisher of the online international poetry journal, The Drunken Boat.  She lives in Tucson, Arizona, and teaches at Southwest University of Visual Arts.  She will be a featured poet at the Summer Literary Seminars in Vilnius, Lithuania, July 31-August 13th.
