T Begley

T Begley studied classical Greek at Evergreen State College and at Yale University. In addition to writing poetry, Begley has presented installation and performance pieces and co-founded (with Olga Broumas) Body, Sound & Text, a psychodynamic educational workplace for women in Brewster, Massachusetts. T Begley is the co-translator of Open Papers, selected essays of Greek Noble Laureate, Odysseas Elytis, with Olga Broumas. For the completion of the Elytis translation they received a Witter Byner Grant. T Begley comes from a strong literary and language background. She counts Renaissance Literature, Classical Greek, Latin, and Indonesian among her many studies, which include sojourns in Mexico, Indonesia, and Thailand. She attended Yale University and The Evergreen State College and has also studied bodywork therapy in Thailand and in this country and, as a musician, employs live electronic and acoustic environments in her teaching.
