Jon Davis

Jon Davis is the author of five chapbooks and six full-length poetry collections. The Bloomsbury Review said of his collection Preliminary Report: “This is one of the best books of poetry to appear this year.” He has received numerous awards for his poetry, including a Lannan Literary Award, the Peter I. B. Lavan Award from the Academy of American Poets, the Off the Grid Poetry Prize, and two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships. He taught for twenty-three years at the Institute of American Indian Arts before founding, in 2013, the IAIA low residency MFA in Creative Writing, which he directed until his retirement in 2018.
