Karen Swenson

Karen Swenson is the author of five books of poetry, including The Landlady in Bangkok, which was awarded the 1993 National Poetry Series award. Her poems and travel articles have appeared in a wide range of publications, including The New York Times and The Paris Review. She taught for many years at the City College of New York; presently she teaches at Barnard College.
