Sipping a beverage at your local coffee shop. Eating a slice a pizza at your favorite pizzeria. Happy hour with friends. Going to the gym. Reading poetry in the park. Sitting in the audience of a poetry reading. High-fives. Handshakes. Hugs. COVID-19 has drastically changed how we live our lives, forcing us to forego what was second nature. In these uncertain times, the words of Mary Oliver demand that we answer the question:

Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?
– “The Summer Day”

Poetry comforts, inspires, heals, is a catalyst for change, and so much more. Now, maybe more than ever, poets need a space to share their art, and poetry lovers need a space to receive the poet’s art. A Wild & Precious Life Series is a virtual poetry reading series created to be that space.

Readings will take place via Zoom with “doors” opening at 7pm EST and readings starting at 7:30pm EST.
