Ben Lerner

Ben Lerner was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1979. He has been a finalist for the National Book Award in Poetry and received fellowships from the Fulbright, Guggenheim, and MacArthur Foundations, among other honors. He is the author of three books of poetry (The Lichtenberg Figures, Angle of Yaw, and Mean Free Path), three novels (Leaving the Atocha Station, 10:04, and The Topeka School), and a book-length essay, The Hatred of Poetry. He has also published several collaborations with artists, including Blossom (with Thomas Demand) and The Snows of Venice (with Alexander Kluge). He is a Distinguished Professor of English at Brooklyn College.
